Darius
Songaila agreed to a one-year deal with Ukrainian side Donetsk, who will be
playing in the Euroleague Qualification Round, reports Basket-Planet.com.
The contract is guaranteed only for
three months, after which both parties have an option to terminate the
contract.
According
to LithuaniaBasketball.com sources, it wouldn't be a surprise if the player did not stick around for longer, as his main goal is to replace the injured Ivan
Radenovic, who will be sidelined for at least four weeks.
Songaila was one of the best players for Lithuania in the Olympic Games in London, averaging 11 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.
