Zalgiris Kaunas had no problems against Lietuvos Rytas in the first Super Cup game, taking an 89-71 (27-19, 21-11, 23-18, 18-23) victory against their rivals from Vilnius in Zalgiris Arena.

Although, the guests got a way to a quicker start, going ahead 8-4 after a couple of minutes of the game, Zalgiris raced back to tie the game immediately and never looked back.
After a 15-0 run in the second quarter, the Greens increased their lead to 44-27, before increasing the advantage to 27 points in the second half.
Paulius Jankunas and Tadas Klimavicius had 13 points each, with the latter also adding 8 rebounds, Tremmell Darden finished the game with 10 points, while Rimantas Kaukenas had nine.
For Lietuvos Rytas, Janis Blums was the top-scorer with 12 points, Mindaugas Katelynas scored 11, while Renaldas Seibutis also had 11, but added 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
